From a young age, I've been driven by the desire to chart my own course. This desire first manifested at age 14, when I became the go-to lawn mower in my neighborhood. That early experience taught me a powerful lesson: the effort I put into my work directly influenced my earnings.
By 16, I had grasped the correlation between time and money. I started teaching private saxophone lessons, a venture that quickly grew and made me question the value of a traditional part-time job. As my student base expanded, so did my entrepreneurial spirit, leading me to focus solely on my lessons business, which offered significantly more freedom and financial reward.
My passion for entrepreneurship followed me to Temple University, where I majored in Chemistry and Physics. While studying, I launched a personal tutoring service, leveraging my strengths in Math, Science, and test preparation to teach up to 15 students weekly, significantly enhancing my income. Concurrently, my brother and I founded "Mencel Brothers Landscaping," building on our combined experiences and specializing in comprehensive landscaping services.
